The R.O.D. planning team
met in Ellensburg to continue work on pulling this HUGE reunion
together. We discussed every aspect of the reunion and worked on free
time activities for those who are arriving from out of town. It was a
very productive meeting and we had so much fun. Those attending were
Bill Carl ’63, Carolyn Allen Denton ’64, Gary Olson ’62, Ilse Box Long
’64, Liz Burton Rogers ’65 and Peggylee Pritchett Hallinan ’63.
The Fairchild AFB tour will be held on Friday, May 23, 2004 and everyone
should meet at the Holiday Inn so we can cut down on the number of cars
and provide rides for those who need them, to the base. Fairchild will
provide a bus for our tour of the base. Thank you Carolyn Allen Denton
’64 for bringing this “free” tour together.
Ads and
Contributions
Peggylee, Liz and Ilse are
working on obtaining contributions and donations for the Silent Auction
and Susan Baker Yates works for a company that will contribute food
items for the baskets. If you would like to contribute to the auction or
the reunion please email me at mail@mlhsgrads.org or call the message
line 509-467-1988. We are selling ads for the Memory Book. If you own a
business and would like to place an ad let us know. We can use all the
support out there for this.
Events
All events will require
a ticket to attend the event. If you plan just to come and visit you
will need to purchase a ticket for that event. The planning team decided
the cost per event will be Friday $25.00 ~ Saturday Picnic
$25.00 and the Saturday Night Gala $70.00.
These are individual ticket prices only. You can
prepay or come to the Holiday Inn on Friday night and purchase your
individual ticket. Due to the type of ticketing we will be using,
duplicates will absolutely not be available, so be sure to keep your
tickets in a safe place once you receive them.
FYI
The “Hollywood Nights”
gala is in the pavilion that is attached to the Northern Quest casino.
The only time you would have to enter the casino is when you arrive to
or leave the gala. The Pend Oreille Pavilion is a private room
with security posted at the door. We will have complimentary
valet parking and you need to let the valet know you are with
the Medical Lake High School reunion gala and we are
hoping to have several folks at the door to welcome you and direct you
to the pavilion. All activities for the wonderful gala will be within
the walls of the pavilion. I need about 4 volunteers to be stationed at
the main entrance for about 1 hour.

We can only make this reunion a success if
you share the news and attend. This will be the first reunion many have
attended since graduation from ole MLHS. By combining all our efforts we
will make this reunion a huge success for all who attend. It is up to
you to decide to attend or not. In either case we will need to know. I
can guarantee you will have a wonderful and memorable time spending
countless hours with friends and fellow classmates.
Many graduates of the years 1950-1958 have
asked if they can attend and of course they can. Also we have a few from
the 1970’s who have registered. You see it is far reaching and will be
so exciting. For the year 1954 it will be the 50th anniversary of high
school graduation and for 1964 the 40th anniversary. Time flies when you
are having fun they say!

Cardinals to the Reunion of the Decades
July 23rd, 24th and 25th 2004.
We have mailed out over 200
packets with very few being returned due to an incorrect address. I’m
sure we have missed some-again let us know if you need a registration
packet it isn’t too late. Continue to search for classmates that haven’t
been located. This group effort will give some an opportunity to attend
their first reunion since graduation!!! I know I’ve found several.
